Commercial and Government Sales - Project Manager

Job Description

Our company is expanding rapidly and is looking to hire a sales person/project manager to join our team. The individual in this role will be planning activity, developing opportunities and contributing to building our sales revenue through servicing our existing customer base as well as the targeting of new sales channels with our new web based training system, in addition to current and new product introductions. This position is an excellent opportunity for persons desiring to build a career in the sales industry with focus on government and the commercial sector.

TrainSoft is seeking dynamic individuals to facilitate the sales process for prospective agencies and vocational schools interested in a web based database that continuously tracks the availability, allocation and use of funds at both the fund source and the Participant Account Level. Duties include calling, proposal writing, and closing sales as well as assisting them with all aspects of the set-up process. Applicants must be sales oriented and willing to work flexible hours. Excellent communications skills (both on the phone and in person) a must. This individual must be charismatic, enthusiastic and extremely goal oriented.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain and build customer relationships with key accounts/clients and sales channels.
  • Control of sales cycle from lead qualification to close.
  • Introduce and target new products to existing and new customer base.
  • Utilize all available sales channels to achieve or exceed sales goals by responding to opportunities that match our growth strategy.
  • Travel to customer locations (Tri-state area mostly) for product demonstration/orientation may be required.

Experience Requirements

  • 2-4 years of sales experience in an entrepreneurial growth company
  • Highly motivated, a self-starter with an energetic, competitive personality; driven to succeed; an aggressive, and proactive sales professional.
  • Excellent communication, organization and writing skills, and a high level of analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Service oriented behavior and team player – willing to help out wherever necessary, but also work well unsupervised.
  • Ability to work in a fast moving “cross functional” team environment and able to manage multiple projects and customers.
  • Internet Sales and/or a customer support experience will be helpful.

Sales Manager

The Sales Manager (SM) is responsible for supporting 2 to 3 Regional Sales Managers through lead generation and other prospecting activities along with closing a specific set of products to existing clients.

The essential duties of the Sales Manager are:

  • Meeting and exceeding set team sales quotas while adhering to Trainsoft rules of engagement.
  • Prospecting activities in a given territory. This includes executing on cold calling campaigns, email campaigns, etc. It is the responsibility of Sales Manager to ensure a full pipeline for the team at all times.
  • Continually learning new products and acquiring better selling skills. The Sales Manager will be required to attend training events throughout the year and will be expected to participate in self-paced tutorial learning when appropriate.
  • Being well informed about current industry trends and being able to talk intelligently about the education industry as a whole and also the e-education/e-learning/carding services industries.
  • Keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.
  • Attending and participating in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
  • Preparing written presentations, reports and price quotations.
  • Assisting in contract negotiations.
  • Managing your sales pipeline.
  • Understanding purchasing nuances of the industry.
  • Ability to upsell and sell additional products/services into existing clients.
